I am trying to find easy no mess way of sharpening so that I can sharpen in the lounge watching TV and not create a mess. At the moment I have been having varying levels of success using an EZ lap fine (600 grit) 12" diamond rod however I would like to know if any one else has any other ways of doing this.
I also understand that using stones dry would be a good way of doing this however I understand they load up much more easily when used dry. Are there any other disadvantages to using stones dry to prevent mess created by water/lubricants. I would have Aluminum Oxide and SiC stones in various grits to try this with.
