SAK Climber, Tanto Re-Grind (7 replies)

This idea was given to me by Dave Stewart, of SecondHand SAK's (2ndhandsaks@gmail.com). We were discussing SAK blade shapes, and the topic of wish-list blade shapes came up, and a Tanto, American-style was brought up. That shape is problematic, due to the design of the knife. Luckily, I had a SAK Climber I rescued from a pawn shop, that had a broken main blade. The tip re-grind was done on the coarse side on a India Stone, sharpening done on the fine side:

Also, I had been wanting to show an example of what looks like a 90°/90°/90° cut from the users perspective, isn't really a 3x90°. You have to raise the back of the knife a little. I didn't do it here, what looked to be a 90° to me was probably a 70°-85°.
